Valve
Device to control, regulate or direct the passage of fluids. Used in sectors with demanding conditions such as the chemical, food, pharmaceutical, etc. industries.
Butterfly Valves
The butterfly valve is characterized by being fast acting as it is ¼ turn and controls circulation by means of a circular disc, with the axis of its orifice at right angles to the direction of circulation.
Applications:
General service, liquids, gases, semi-liquid pastes, liquids with solids in suspension
Recommended for:
- Service with total opening or total closing.
- Service with strangulation.
- For frequent operation.
- When positive shear is required for gases or liquids.
- When only a minimum of fluid trapped in the pipeline is allowed.
These valves are low pressure and very simple and versatile designs.
It allows them to adapt to a wide range of sizes, pressures, temperatures and connections and can operate with all types of fluids, gas and even solids.
Its configuration allows the valve to be free of wear due to friction of the components and allows the passage of solids in suspension, in addition, it opposes a low pressure loss when it is open.
Ball Valves
The ball valves are ¼ turn, drilled and turned on resilient seats, which allows direct flow in the open position and shuts off when the ball is turned 90° and closes the conduit.
Applications:
General service, high temperatures, semi-liquid pastes.
Recommended for:
- For driving and cutting service, without blockages.
- When fast opening is required.
- For moderate temperatures.
- When minimal resistance to circulation is required.
Ball valves are of low pressure and simple design, often is used to regulate and control the flow. They are a versatile type of valve in the control of fluids which allows them to be one of the most used valves.
